In 1998 the journey began as Wet Cat Designs and Meatless T-Bone Productions. It's barely legible but that yellow blur does read "two minds, one world," cleverly relating two individuals artistic existence together. The printer thought there was a error with the file. Perhaps it was just precognition.

The Dreams of Children was the first big project. These highly lovable characters were modeled after Ted and Jen of the Yo Banana Boy organization. The shuttle image was enlarged for giant foam-core cutouts that were suspended from the ceiling of the venue for the event. Which disappeared very quickly after the event.

Then in October, asked to create the window display for Pic-A-Book Store’s Banned Books Month. Devising a scene complete with cellophane fire pit, burned books, life-sized gas-masked figure, security camera with monitor focused on passers-by, and a very ominous Big Brother theme ad series. This was well received by both the public and the press. Originally planning to use an image of Dali and his mustache, the ominous stare of a young 20-something Salvador made him a peer.

Participating unofficially in the 2000 Spring Gallery Walk a collection of fine art and graphic design work was exhibited. Conveniently situated in a high traffic area of the event, visitors were also welcome to experience the work space firsthand. That summer we assembled the first Dark Side of the Moon exhibit in observance of the Secret Moon, or the second New Moon in one calendar month. This exhibit features a select group of artists each chosen for their ability to alter an exhibit space and/or provide a stunning and provocative atmosphere. Later that year and again unofficially, the studio doors were opened to the public for the 2000 Fall Gallery Walk.

The two hemispheres of the brain, the yin, the yang, the universe, and the two individuals exploring and creating it. In 2001 the meaning behind the phrase "two minds, one world" became clear.

Starting in June of 2002, paired with an old friend, Energy was a monthly series of theme-based installations organized by DJ Foundation and hosted by the Inferno nightclub. Each month featured a different display.

Unfortunately proving exhausting, these exhibits did accumulate to a substantial collection. This body of work was featured later that year at Studio Quest in the Kardonal Din exhibit. Much like the yin-yang ed brain illustration, this tessellation was designed and illustrated by both Donald and Karin. The amalgamation of their names into Kardonal Din made a seminal statement for the official first exhibit.

In 2004 Two Minds One World's "Art Fair Outside the Square" Off Broadway took growth. Disappointed with the main-stays interest in local talent, the Off Broadway Art Exhibition was established to showcase strictly regional artists and performers.
Volunteer organized and participant funded, Off Broadway is an event celebrating artistic diversity and self expression.

After multiple group exhibits, two silent art auctions, MAOAS, both a sculptural and performance dedication to TV Turn Off Week, the second annual Off Broadway, and then a short trip out of town for a contemporary invasion of folk art gallery Longbranch in Mineral Point (thanks Ben!), 2005 came to an end with the the second, unofficially third, installment of the Dark Side of the Moon series. Truly defining what the event was all about.

In 2006 it was time to do something else. All artistic energy was to be focused on Off Broadway. Karin further perused her interests in graphic design. Donald re-mastered the back-catalog of Greenfield Laboratories recordings, providing ample fodder for his Decade of Dementia radio series, and also got involved with the local Mercury Players Theatre group. Despite a continued positive response and general overall success it was decided to call Off Broadway a trilogy. The project was losing sight of it's original intent. Being an alternative. A flip side to the Art Fair on the Square. Not a cheep B side. "Secret Moon" 2008 will mark their return with a full scale public art collaboration.

2007 saw an out-and-out halt to activity in Two Minds One World Studio. Life altering changes in employment and an inevitable relocation left a looming uncertainty. The intention to spend only one more year was postponed again for the sixth time. October saw all the real action with ongoing events almost continuously throughout the entire month. Donald was even significantly active in the daydreaminBoy sound studio with a new album expected to be finished by the new year. With the Secret Moon on the horizon we'll wait to see what the stars have to say about that move in 2008.

To the infinitely-improbable and beyond.
